There's more to this story of service to a community. It's called a Ministry of Presence--quietly standing in or standing by as needed. Heroes are those who run into danger. The saints are those who proclaim the sunshine when the clouds are dark. They set up, clean up, show up--and stay. This kind of work can't be done alone nor can one easily bear the burdens of others.
In this field of service, we find that a cord of three strands is not easily broken.
